George Scott Bunker

George Bunker has spent more than three decades building systems that protect people, strengthen businesses, and stand the test of real-world pressure. His work in the energy and water sectors has shaped safety and operational programs that do more than meet standards, they create environments where people can go home safe and organizations can perform at their highest level. His approach is grounded in accountability, practical innovation, and a deep respect for the people doing the work.

But George’s life has never been defined by business alone.

He has a relentless drive to build something that matters beyond the jobsite. He co-created Empower Freedom to take a stand against human trafficking within the energy sector and helped launch Energy Strong to bring people across the industry together with purpose. Through the Texas BBQ Bash and the Central Texas Barbeque Roundup, he has turned a simple idea, people coming together over food, into something much bigger. In its first year, CTBR drew more than 11,000 participants and became a platform for supporting animal welfare, emergency services, and youth programs across Central Texas.

At the center of everything is his family.

George and his wife Tracie have spent more than three decades side by side, building a life rooted in faith, resilience, and commitment. Their story is one of partnership through adversity and growth, raising their children, welcoming grandchildren, and continuing to serve others together.

George Bunker’s life is built on a simple belief. Success is not measured by what you accumulate. It is measured by what you build, who you lift, and what you leave behind for others.
